  China Coal Group’s coal mines mainly concentrate around Pingshuo and Xiangning mining areas in Shanxi, Hujierte mining area in Inner Mongolia,Datun mining area in Jiangsu, Yuheng mining area in Shaanxi, Yilan mining area in Heilongjiang,Xinji mining area in Anhui. Currently China Coal Group has 41 mines in operation and 22 mines under construction with total production capacity of 288 million tons per year. In 2016, the total raw coal production reached 133 million tons and the total coal reserves in control amounted to 56.7 billion tons.China Coal Group also has 32 existing coal washing plants and 6 coal washing plants under construction with total washing capacity of 280 million tons per year. With over 30 years history in coal and coke import and export business, China Coal Group has owned comprehensive logistics dispatch centers and distribution networks and has set up companies and offices in Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, Rizhao,Qingdao, Lianyungang, Zhoushan and Guangzhou along the coast and overseas subsidiaries in HongKong, Japan, and Australia. Since 2005, China Coal Group’s coal trading volume has been exceeding 100 million tons for 12 consecutive years, which reached 166 million tons in 2016.

  
  During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China Coal Group will pursue the guideline of large scale and intensive development, green development and high efficiency, optimization of the incremental and revitalization of stock assets. China Coal Group will push forward the efficient development of clean coal, promote the construction of the integrated projects of coal mining, electricity generation and coal-based chemical, increase the coal production volume with premium economic yield, enhance the conversion ratio of coal at the mining sites,focus on the advantage of economy scale and intensive development. In accordance with inherent endowment of coal resource, market location and environmental capacity, the large scale coal bases located in Inner Mongolia-Shaanxi, Shanxi,Xinjiang shall be developed differentially so as to the realize the transformation from scale-speed mode to quality-efficiency mode. Meanwhile by adopting market-oriented and customer-centered approach,China Coal Group will focus on the market, logistic and product, promote the innovation of concept,mechanism and mode. New district market and non-thermal coal clients will be actively pursued so as to enhance the integration level of coal marketing.
