ChinaCoal’s coal chemical industry focuses on the direction of developing coal-based methanol, DME and alkenes. The Group is now making efforts to construct several key coal chemical bases in Erodes of Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang Province, Yulin of Shaanxi Province and Zhundong of XinJiang, scheming the annual production capacity of 7 MTs of methanol, 3 MTs of DME, 600 KTs of alkenes, 15 MTs of coke, 4.5 billion m2 of coal gas and 150 KTs of crude benzol. Meantime, we are active in developing coal chemical technologies by all means. Partnering with academic and scientific institutions, ChinaCoal successfully developed technologies in coal-based methanol, DME and alkenes with intellectual property rights. Besides, its independently-developed “shale distillation technology” has been patented.
